Musings, inanities, absurdities

As a high school English teacher, today marks the last week of my summer vacation. Overall, it’s been a quiet summer. I didn’t go on any big trips, nor did I finish everything I set out to do at the start. I do feel adequately rested, though.

My current list of things to do by the end of the week:

  • Get my brake lights changed
  • Get a haircut
  • Get back into a morning routine
  • Work on my NCBT certification

We’ll see how much I actually get done.

This coming school year, I’ll be teaching all IB classes: MYP English 10, DP English 12, and Theory of Knowledge (TOK). I’m excited and nervous at the same time; two out of the three classes will be completely new to me. Two weeks ago, in an anxious panic, I completely redid my English 10 syllabus.
